#Repost Slick Rick celebrates his birthday at the Brooklyn Bowl in NYC (2012)

A few weeks ago I made my way from Toronto, Canada to Brooklyn, New York to spend Christmas in my favorite city in the world! Over the last couple weeks I’ve been lucky enough to interview some of my favorite artists and catch some amazing hip hop shows. Just last Friday I was at the Brooklyn Bowl and caught Slick Rick in concert! Unfortunately I didn’t get an interview with him because my camera died just before our unplanned meeting but thanks to a fan of his that was in the green room after the concert I was able to get a drop from The Ruler himself.

During his set Mr AT of the Lifted Crew brought out a birthday cake and had the room sing “Happy Birthday” to Slick Rick. Check out this clip of Slick Ricks birthday celebration and a special performance of Childrens Story
