I first came across this Miami emcee in June, just after he released the original version of Downtown Lights. Now, considering this is a ‘time sensitive’ world, I wasn’t able to post the mixtape. However, after a brief conversation with GhostWridah about how terrible I thought the original artwork was, but how dope the music was, he told me there was going to be a remastered copy released – and here it is, Downtown Lights 2.0..
As much as there’s definitely a little something for everyone (from the Rick Ross listeners to the Foreign Exchange enthusiasts and the conscious Talib Kweli supporters), there’s also an incredible track entitled “Skittles & Iced Tea” dedicated to Trayvon Martin, who unjustly lost his life.
Shoutouts to GhostWridah for accepting criticism and being an extremely humble artist.
(By the way, the new artwork trumps your original cover!)
