What good fortune that Pete Rock’s birthday falls on a Throwback Thursday this year! All the more reason to post this video. This is one of my favourite Pete Rock joints. The track is called “Take Your Time” and was featured on Pete’s 1998 album Soul Survivor. Featuring two thirds of the British R&B group Loose Ends, this song is what I consider a “quiet classic”.
