VIDEO: NAS – THE DON

Nas releases a new track “Daughters” and a video for “The Don” all in a matter of a couple days, reminding us that his rap business game is on point! Also, that he works with a larger budget than many MC’s. Now I personally am already over the hype of “The Don”, actually I was over it after only a couple of listens, but that’s just my opinion. I know many have labelled it as the summer anthem, but for me it’s just a mediocre track. I’m actually still hyped about his first release off of Life is Good, “Nasty”.

The beat for “The Don” is catchy and hype, however I still think it’s too overpowering for Nas’ lyrics. I was hoping that the visuals might give me a new perspective on the track but, sadly it doesn’t. I actually find the video quite boring and nothing out of the ordinary. I will say this though, Nas looks FINE as hell!!
