Coachella had the internets a-buzz last night, and for good reason. Three hip hop icons performing on stage together… one from beyond the grave. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre stole the show for Coachella’s Sunday night finale when they brought out a holographic Tupac, performing Ain’t Nothin’ Like A Gangsta Party and a solo rendition of Hail Mary. Judging by twitter reactions, some loved it, some hated on it, some were just dumb-founded. But all agree, technology just upped the ante for hip hop. If stunning live performances from long-dead artists is the new norm, this is definitely a whole new level of immortality through music.

can you imagine? one day i believe concerts will be dedicated to all our favourite deceased artists, where instead of going to see a live act, you’ll get to see a hologram. generations who were either to young or too far away or too financially stunted will get to see artists they only dreamed of,
