One of the greatest MCs of our time, Dennis Coles aka Ghost Deini aka Toney Starks… Pretty Toney, Ironman, Starky Love, The Wallabee Kingpin.. (and the list goes on), but better known as Ghostface Killah, is our honourable artist today. The track “Camay” shows us his crazy imaginative lyricism which he is so widely known for. The track begins with a calming and steady sample from the late Teddy Pendergrass, setting the stage for Wu brother Raekwon. Mix in a verse from Cappadona, and production by RZA? We have ourselves a certified banger! This song carries a theme of infatuation with classy, educated, natural and sophisticated women (in comparison to modern “barbies”). They do this whilst storytelling, whilst dope rhyming, bringing us back to NY in ’96. This is really a treat for Hip Hop junkies. You can find this track from GFK’s debut solo album Ironman (1996).
